Design Technician

This full-time, permanent position will have a lead role in project design and preparing drawings for grading plans, utility plans, surveying projects and other mapping needs. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with department personnel, office staff and clients.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications: Engineering Technician degree or equivalent experience

Office Administrator

This position will be responsible for the daily operations to keep the office running smoothly. The position will include a variety of administrative duties, answering phones, preparing mailings, data entry, maintaining filing systems and client/job database, time tracking, accounts payable and accounts receivable, purchasing supplies, providing support to the engineering and land surveying departments, and other duties as assigned. Position could be full-time or part-time, depending on applicant and workload.

Qualifications: Proficient computer skills including Quickbooks and Microsoft Office software, Excellent communication skills and attitude, Organized, Detail oriented, Quick learner, Self-motivated, Ability to work independently.

Preferred: Minimum AA degree with related coursework or equivalent working experience. Knowledge of accounting, engineering and land surveying a plus.

Professional Engineer

This full-time, permanent position will develop, design, and manage projects for both private and public clients, as well as mentor staff. Attendance at client meetings will be required. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with department personnel, office staff and clients.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Minnesota Licensed P.E., Proficient computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years experience, Experience managing Land Development or Public Infrastructure projects

Professional Land Surveyor

This full-time, permanent position will quote jobs, manage survey crews, and manage survey projects from beginning to end for both private and public clients. Primarily office based, occasional field work or attendance at client meetings will be required. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with department personnel, office staff and clients.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Minnesota Licensed P.L.S., Proficient computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years experience, Experience managing survey crews
