Benchmark has provided full time surveying services for Cliffs 
Mining Services, Co. at Hibbing Taconite and Hoyt Lakes LTV 
Mining Company. Both clients require GPS and conventional 
surveying services, which is provided by 6 Benchmark personnel. 
Benchmark has provided exploratory drill locations for Hoyt Lakes 
LTV and Hibbing Taconite. We have also provided drill core
collection for Hibbing Taconite. A mining operation called 
Kennecott near Babbitt, was closed and stockpiled ore was 
solidified and covered and the shaft was capped. Benchmark 
provided the staking and related survey work for the Kennecott 
closure project. 



Benchmark has completed numerous projects for LTV 
Mining at the Dunka Mine near Babbitt such as, a sanitary 
landfill closure, topography and staking for mine dump 
capping, borrow bit topography and volumes, topography 
and staking for storm water runoff and leechate control, and 
the control, topography and construction staking for a major 
ash pile failure and reclamation.



Benchmark conducts property boundary surveys of all kinds 
on a daily basis.Benchmark has also provided staking for 
nearly all aspects of constructionprojects. The depth of 
experience of the Benchmark personnel is unequaled by any 
other surveying firm in the area.
